So, I’ve pretty much decided on doing a short, 5-6 day road trip this summer, instead of spending 6 days in one city.  I’ve spent an awful lot of time along the Pacific coast but feel like I need to do this one last, big, gesture before leaving my love behind. 

Places:

1.) SJC - pick up rental at San Jose International Airport

2.) Pescadero CA - visit this awesome goat cheese farm

3.) San Francisco - spend a few hours in the western edges of the city. Short hikes, vantage points etc.

4.) Cross over to Marin headlands and arrive at Petaluma CA.  The awesome Lagunitas brewery is there.

5.) Spend first night at Point Reyes National Park

6.) After half day hiking in Point Reyes, revisit Santa Rosa - some awesome artisan bakeries there

7.) Drive to Mendocino/Fort Bragg area.  Two, three awesome breweries there.  Spend second night there

8.) Drive to Eureka CA - the lost coast brewery.  En route, drive through Redwood National park - digesting some delicious views and hikes.  

9.) Spend 3rd night in Eureka. 

10.) Drive to Newport OR (longish drive).  The first brewery of Rogue is there - check it out!  Continue to drive same day to Portland OR.  Spend 4th night in Portland. 

11.) One day - Portland - eat, drink, rent bikes and bike. Spend 5th night in PDX.

12.) Drive to SEA 6th day!
